Ed Clay is a former professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter and at one point, he even ranked as high as number 9 in the world. He ran one of the largest Mixed Martial Arts schools in the United States with multiple students fighting in events such as the Ultimate Fighting Championships. In 2015, Ed acquired the CHIPSA hospital in Tijuana, Mexico along with his partners, Scott Nelson and Deddrick Perry. He is currently the President of the United Cancer Centers where they help end-stage cancer patients get access to a combination of conventional and alternative treatment.
Battling a terminal disease is never easy, especially when you have to do it without the support you really need to get through this tough ordeal. Ed Clay saw this firsthand with the very first patients they had at the CHIPSA Hospital, a cancer hospital in Tijuana Mexico that he acquired with his partners back in 2015. The stories of their patients moved him and made him more committed to being a champion for end-stage cancer patients.
On this episode of Inspired Insider, Dr. Jeremy Weisz gets
to talk to Ed about the challenges he faced in the process of
building CHIPSA Hospital and how the stories if his first patients
impacted his life. Stay tuned.
